Dropping Back and Punting…

Over here in Marcaritaville we are on day 5 of Maddy Watch. She is STILL sick, really icky sick. So things have been a little off as I have been snuggling with my little cough-muffin, and helping her do her school work so she won’t be so far behind, rather than finishing my knitting goals for the week.

I am going a little stir-crazy without needles in my hand, so I have decided to drop back and punt. I’m going to go out of order on my list, and pick up my KAL Kaftan. If you are knitting along, we should be casting on and knitting to the 8″ mark by next Tuesday (I told you it was a slow-paced KAL). I did a little last night, and have decided that I will be working on that today. It’s so much easier to knit and purl than to pay attention to sewing together and finishing.

Um… How did that  get there? I may or may not be snarfing down eating one of my home-made cupcakes. Don’t judge! Knitting and caring for sick children requires high caloric sweets consumption. True story… look it up.
